Welcome!

First things first, I often get asked how to pronounce my last name. My Irish ancestors spelled it 'Hossey' back on the Emerald Isle but when they came to the United States in the late 1800's, it was changed to Hosea. It's messed everyone up ever since. My family pronounces it 'Hō-zee' — say that real fast three times.

Now, a little bit about me. I'm a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Back in the day, I served at NORAD and Air Force Space Command headquarters in Colorado Springs, and NAS Keflavik, Iceland. After leaving the service, I completed my undergraduate studies at Indiana University and also earned a master's degree in Organizational Leadership. My day job is talent and product development.

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, but spent many summers in Colorado. The mountains are my happy place. Currently, I live in southern Indiana with my family and our rescue dog, Lilly. My hobbies include biking, hiking and spectator sports, especially the Indy 500. The arts are another passion of mine. I love going to the theater, movies, and live music. I listen to almost anything, from Duran Duran and The Rolling Stones to John Williams and Michael Giacchino. The Empire Strikes Back and Dances with Wolves are my favorite soundtracks.

The first book I remember reading for enjoyment was The Omen by David Seltzer. I found it in the school library and couldn't put it down. After that, I read The Hunt for Red October and was hooked on techno-thrillers. Tom Clancy and Michael Crichton were major influences. I'm also a self-proclaimed Star Wars geek, so meshing the two genres for The Reaper Series has been a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it!
